Remember The Last Time

There’s a ashtray full of sand

It is close to my hand but I can’t reach it

How long I’ve been there

Lying on this chair?

I feel like leaving this place before someone see me this way

The mirror seems to find

A glimmer from behind my dazed face

Maybe the last sign of the human race

The first time in years

I won’t shed a tear

It has to be clear

Remember the last time...

Remember the last time I felt this way,

It won’t be going on, it’s ok

Birds are flying in my room

I watch their wings thanks to the moon, so bright and lonely

This is so unfair

But who am I to dare

Feeling lonelier than it does for a billion years
